Within Jacob’s practice, the main focus centers on openness, growth, learning, and empathy. The more open and understanding we are with one another, the greater our capacity to learn and grow together. The therapeutic frameworks integrated into Jacob’s practice are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Theory, Athletic and Performance Counseling, and Positive Psychology.
Jacob has a special interest in working with athletes and performers of all kinds because to recognize the unique challenges they face. It is incredibly important to support this population in becoming the best versions of themselves, both on and off the field, stage, or any performance setting. This commitment extends beyond athletes and performers to include anyone on a journey of self-improvement—any individual seeking to enhance their well-being and personal growth is always welcome in my practice.
“The identity of "coach" is one that I hold dearly and one that I think can be applied to a lot of aspects of my life. I have been coaching high school and collegiate track for several years now and the things I have learned from these experiences translate directly into my practice. Being a trusted guide is important to me whether its on a field, in a classroom, or anywhere else.”
